Hi I am wanting to see if my mother has been miss sold PPI but she has no idea who she had loans with even though she has had them.
When all this PPI scandal started someone came to her house and gave her a cheque but she can’t remember who it was from.
How do I go about helping her?

All you can realistically do is try to get her to be more forthcoming about who her old lenders were and then approach them to see if they have any record of her having PPI. A reasonable starting point might be whoever she currently banks with..0 -

That is likely to be poor recollection or something else. Banks etc do not send someone round with a cheque.0 -
