Thanks for your reply Coupon-Mad. Do you work for PE?
I was informed it was a magistrate but hey-ho. Either way he was arrogant.
I didn't just rock up with my phone. I had prepared everything very thoroughly and had paper copies of the text. Unlike you I have little experience of these sorts of things. I read all the paperwork sent to me, and appealed to PE in the proper way with all the evidence, which they then presented in court, except for the print out of my text message interestingly enough.
You seem to miss the point. Because in your opinion, I didn't prepare myself adequately, I should be liable for a fine which was issued unfairly. My texts clearly show I had every intention of entering into a contract to pay for parking.
Unfortunately I cannot afford to appeal but will certainly be contemplating action of some kind.0 -
If Coupon-Mad works for P.E. then their recruitment strategy is seriously flawed.
I've read hundreds and hundreds of C-M's responses and if there's a way forward she usually finds it. She does an astonishing amount of (voluntary) work on behalf of motorists she's never met. All the regulars do but I think they hold her in particularly high regard.
I reckon she was trying to realistically manage expectations given the information you provided.
I'm not having a dig at you at all, I really hope there is something you can do.0 -

Biting the helpers is not good!
You look to have missed the point that ppcs "contracts" are 'cleverley' designed to get them (lots of) money
Don't understand why pe presented all your evidence??
An appeal is not recommended. Certainly get proper legal advice before starting on that route
Otherwise best pay it off in full if you can within the month allowed to have the ccj removed from the records
If not possible then enter into a payment plan with the claimant if they are willing0
