How do arrive at "clearly untrue"?
There must be plenty other reasons it could fail.

After a year and 150 hrs use, think you'll struggle to get any refund at all, certainly not a full refund along with "additional costs".
How much was it, is it designed for outdoor use?

It’s clearly untrue because I have a screen shot which Optoma sent me of their report of the work which they did on it three months before I bought it. If it hadn’t been used, it would not have been necessary to return it to them for repair, would it?

    And me :o

However, was it ever used by the previous owner, or returned for repair due to being DOA?

Until you contact the seller and get their response, it's pointless trying to offer advice.

Despite the passage of time, it seems to me that I should be entitled to a full refund of the purchase price and the additional costs whic I incurred
You've got to be kidding :rotfl:

After 2 years there's no way you're entitled to a full refund.

Was it sold as "New" in the listing?
