Esa budgeting loans delay

Is anyone experiencing delays on getting a budgeting/social fund loan from dwp.
Returned letter July 1st. Just spent an hour trying to get through on phone only to be told that there is a huge backlog on applications being scanned and processed for payments. It's breen 22 days now. Complete joke half witted bloke said he would send another form. What good is that.
Anyone having same problem.

I received one recently and yes there is a delay. I had to wait weeks more than normal. They said they hadn't received the reply slip and sent another one for me to sign and post. They must have a huge backlog IMO.

22 days isn't too bad if I'm being honest.. mine took a lot longer than that!

Did you send the other one back or did you get payment before you returned it

There’s not much you can do about delays but wait. You can’t hurry them along so you need to be patient.

No, I sent the second one back and received payment a while after that.

Still waiting absolute shambles . It is virtually impossible to get through on the phone have tried dozens of times waited over two hours to get through. Any ideas I'm desperate for the cash . My firm was returned on June 26 head nothin since. I've sent second one back but I've no confidence that this will help. Any ideas?

All you can do is continue with the phone call and wait until you get through.

I'm trying every day I'm on phone now and have been since 12ish.. As a government department it really is appalling .

I was in the queue for over an hour before, nothing much you can do I'm afraid.

They lady was very helpful though, she put a note not to cancel the loan application which is something they do if they don'r receive the acceptance slip!

I was lucky as the second one I sent must have showed up.

I would just keep calling and tell them not to cancel your application.

Just a quick note for anyone else who has the same problem. Finally got through to a nice lady after two hours on phone. Told her my situation and she said if I had a copy of the acceptance from which I didn't. So she said check the offer letter they sent . Included in it is a page four which is somewhat similar to the acceptance letter . I signed it and dated and found a shop with a fax, faxed it to them asking them to call me when they received it. They did and payment will be made on Thursday happy days.
