I agree. A washing machine is definitely a 4 man lift to that height. Even then an 80kg lift to 1 metre and move would need a proper risk assessment.

Anyone willing to do it for a bit extra when they deliver is a bit of a cowboy and likely to damage themselves, the washing machine or your kitchen, or any combination of those 3
Good point. Tbh there isn't even room for 3 people to manoeuvre it through that gap, let alone 4. What a nuisance. Goodness knows how the current one got in there. Maybe they took the roof off.

a couple of men should be able to lift it over the worktop. Try a local retailer where you can go in and talk to them. The big chains won't do it but a local shop should be able to help

I've been out to machines that obviously had had the kitchen built around them! You have to dismantle half of the kitchen to get at them.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

The existing washing machine is on the right. towards the top of the diagram.

Between that and the bottom right kitchen entry point, there's a tumble dryer then an under-worktop shelving unit, each separated by three solid wooden panels which presumably are also acting to hold up the worktop. Everything is connected though, that's what makes it a pain.

Maybe I could sacrifice the very end board (nearest the red line), that would let me get a thin washing machine in, one of the ones with not much depth.

On the other side is an 8ft high unit.
The previous owner must've had the kitchen or at least a new worktop built around the appliances then. What's directly under at the end of the worktop on the right?

With most you'd need more than two!

I've just checked, men aren't supposed to lift more than 25Kg, so that's four men for my Meile!
    Or 6.25 women.

Presumable the existing washing machine will be just as difficult to get out?

I would say that they are about 0.5mm each.

Sounds like you might better off having a curb delivery and booking a few strongmen to come and fit it + remove the old. Many mans with vans and handymen, etc, would be able to offer that service with a few mates.
