Hi,
My facebook pages are running very slow. The pages take a while to load and if I click on an option e.g. notification it hangs. Could this be malware? Malwarebytes shows no errors. CCleaner revealed several thousand tracking cookies.

After it has been running for 5 minutes the pages load fast.

Any suggestions?

Just refresh the page and it tends to sort itself out, its usually advert related.
Facebook isn't the go to social media site it once was, considering the way they keep changing the way it works...

Have you tested on another internet browser to see if it does the same on there?

I have tried refresh and that doesn't change the issue.
I close Facebook and re-open and still the same.
If I leave the page for 5 minutes it then behaves as it once did.

Pretty sure it is not the browser, the issue only happens with Facebook, other web pages are not affected.

Please test with another browser, just to rule out where the issue could be.

    Hi,

I have reviewed my AdBlock Plus settings and enabled "Block social media icons tracking"
Hopefully that will reduce the tracking cookies which I think may be slowing Facebook start up.

I've found that Facebook does that now & then, then it gets better again.
