(Old) Chromecast power off

I have an old chromecast device which I use occasionally and recently became unusable. I diagnosed the problem to failing (USB) power supply and it's working again now I've replaced the plug in USB power supply unit.

I know that all cheap power units have limited life as the smoothing capacitors dry out with heat, but I would simply like to know if I switch off the Chromecast for a prolonged period of time, will it recognise my connection settings when I eventually restore power?
