Replacing sectional garage

I live in a house built in the early 30s with a 10' by 20' sectional garage in the garden. Unfortunately it's looking the worse for wear. I was advised by the valuator when moving in that the walls are likely white asbestos, which he said is fine as long as it's undisturbed. There are gaps between the panels and the concrete uprights and while it's not a big problem it doesn't allow for the cleanest of environments with insects getting in, etc. The frames for the single glazed windows are also shot.

On the plus side the previous owner had replaced the roof relatively recently so that's in good condition, as is the front. Can anyone tell me approximately what would I be looking at to replace the walls? One side is right up against the neighbour's fence which might make it a bit difficult.

I've read in a few places that garage walls are highly unlikely to contain asbestos, it's rooves you need to worry about. I do hope this is right, as after having my roof tested (positive) for asbestos, replacing it (with full PPE, and great care), I've then been drilling into the walls when insulating and lining the garage! Having done some further googling I'm thinking that might have been a stupid mistake!

Unless the walls are actually crumbling and falling apart, just fill the gaps with mastic (builders silicone) or larger gaps with insulating foam. No idea what it'd cost to replace the walls, but measure the size of the panels and you'll be able to get prices for replacements from garage supplier such as Compton.

They look like 10mm asbestos sheets to me, not what i think of when you say "sectional garage" an inside photo would be nice to see the concrete structure better.

If you have a van you can carefully wet them when removing and rap them in plastic and take the to the tip yourself.
