The morals of moneysaving

It may give genuine moneysavers some small satisfaction to see the number of Dell 720 printers (all unwanted gifts!) still for sale on ebay. Co-incidence?

Are these still current/new model printers and the moral is it's cheaper to buy off ebay than through Dell?!
My moral is: that is the pit fall of buying a packaged PC, you pay your money on peripheral items and not necessarily on the hardware in the base unit. Build your own!:idea:I got an idea, an idea so smart my head would explode if I even began to know what I was talking about:idea:0 -
I think, although please correct me if I'm wrong antylilla, that you are referring to the Dell printers that were going cheap at Christmas 'ish time? I suppose some people bought them to resell on ebay and now find they don't sell.

Lol! Perhaps an explanation is in order though?
The Dell printers were on offer for £10 and there were threads about this deal a while back. It's long been an annoyance of many people that there are those who don't just order 1 or 2 of a 'good deal item' for personal use, but they order multiple amounts with the intention of selling on eBay to make a profit.
Usually what happens is that the deal or offer ends sooner rather than later and genuine moneysavers who just wanted to save a few quid on an item they wanted for their own use have missed out, whilst folk who buy purely with the intention to trade on eBay seem to manage to get loads.
Naturally this has prompted complaints of unfairness. The OP is pointing out that it may have backfired on the eBay sellers as they don't seem to be selling well, which is why they are still up for sale many weeks after the Dell offer was on, and why the 'It may give genuine moneysavers some small satisfaction.......' comment was made. (I think!)Herman - MP for all!

Presactly! Martin expressed disappointment that some people had taken advantage of his moneysaving tip and ordered shed loads of printers at £10.00 each to resell at a profit (there were indeed 100s on ebay at that time). Seems obvious to me that some folk still havent managed to seel them on :rotfl:0

And if you missed out when they were on offer from dell, you can get a good deal from ebay now! (watch out for postage though). I bought ONE ... it is a great little printer, makes splendid photos of grand-daughter0
