If he went to another window replacement firm, are these not things they would require to move forward also? It sounds as if he undertook work on his property that was required.
Annoying, but not claimable against Safestyle.
Go to the next quote for the windows and move on.Still striving to be mortgage free before I get to a point I can't enjoy it.

Cracks would probably have needed doing at some stage anyway - Not much chance of getting Safestyle to pay for that. Also highly unlikely they would pay for the BT box to be moved. At best, a goodwill payment might be offered, but don't expect too much.
Consider it a lucky escape and go get quotes from local, reputable tradesmen. You'll find local companies can undercut these national companies by £2,000 or more and do a better job.
Just had a uPVC window installed by a local one man company. The installation required fitting of a lintel to support the outer leaf of the wall. He went to great lengths to source matching bricks to replace damaged ones and used the appropriate lime mortar. An outfit like Safestyle or Anglian* would have ignored the issue with the lintel and slapped a load of cement in the gaps.
*) Anglian Windows have recently replaced doors and windows on a similar aged house not far from me. Cracks have already appeared in the bricks above the front door and the render above :eek:Her courage will change the world.
Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.0 -
he only wants to change 2 doors, not the windows and had to all this I understand work need o be don around the house but to be treated like this by large income company no accept this0

As said above, be thankful they aren't going through with the work. Safestyle are hard sell merchants. Find a decent independent installer locally. One that just measures up and then leaves the house without trying to force you to sign up there and then.
Forget trying to get compensation. Your friend slating them on social media won't matter an iota. They've got enough bad press.0
