SSE sunday friendly credit times

I am with SSE and have used their friendly credit occasionally at night time when I've been unable.to get to the shop. My electric meter is currently sitting at just over £2 :( and I don't get money till tomorrow morning now. I have heard that friendly credit can cover Sundays too but I have never tested this. Does anyone know if it runs out before 6pm if it will go off 🤦🏼 or will it stay on till 9 am tomorrow
I'm in 2 minds about turning everything bar the fridge freezer off till later just to make sure 🤦🏼

Thanks :embarasse:

If I understand you correctly, you currently have £2 credit on your electricity meter.

When that runs out (or has nearly run out) you can apply for emergency credit - I think that's another quid.

So that is £3 total credit. I'm not sure how much electricity you use normally, nor how much you pay, but even at a high cost of say 25p/kWh , that would give you 12kWh - a lot more than most people will use in a day, particularly at this time of year when heating is not required.

But in answer to your question, as long as you are still connected at 6pm, you will not lose your SSE electricity supply until 9am tomorrow.
If you manage to burn through all your credit (inc emergency credit) so that you are disconnected before 6pm, you will remain off supply until you top up again.

Of course, anything you do use, you will end up paying for eventually at the agreed rate - it's not free.
