Barclaycard offers

Does anyone know how often (or not) Barclaycard activate any money or balance transfer offers? I need to pay for some new windows and the window company won't take CC payments over £1000, so I want to try and release the money from the card or transfer the amount needed off another card that DOES have a money transfer offer so I can get the cash that way.
VERY annoying!
Thanks.

In my case I get offers every month whether it be balance transfer or money transfers. May be worth phoning them to see whether they can do anything for you. Good luck!0 -
I also get offers every month. I get a letter in the post each month but also when I log on to my account the offers are listed there so worth a look there? Many thanks to everyone who posts competitions and works so hard to provide all the answers!
Best wins this year so far: £100 Hobbycraft Voucher, £50 cash, GoPro Camera0 -
Monthly - I get emails, letters and online notifications.0

Like the others, I seem to get an offer monthly; they seem to be either balance transfer or money transfer, usually 12 months but I have had 18 months offered.0

I get offers every month - but never use them. Perhaps if I did take one up, the offers would stop.
Do you know why the window fitter won't go over £1000? Is it down to the fee they have to pay to the card company or what? Would they agree to do several smaller transactions? For example you could pay a £1000 deposit and a £1000 balance.
Whatever happens, it would be useful to pay at least some of it on a credit card directly and not via a Money Transfer. This might get you some S75 protection.0 -
Will they take a debit card for over £1000? If so get a Curve card for free then add your Barclaycard to it. No charge to you, they think they are getting debit but intact you are using credit. My Barclaycard offers disappear some months then come back others, no idea why0

Have you used the Barclaycard recently? When I had one I got offers monthly, I stopped using the Barclaycard for a while with a zero balance and the offers stopped after a few months. Then I used the card for a purchase one month and I started receiving offers again the following month.0 -
You'd think they would give you more offers during a period of dormancy just to coax you back in using the card in the hope to earn some fees from you.0

Thanks for all the replies. I did used to get monthly offers and never took them up, then made a balance transfer on an offer a few months ago and, !!!!!!, no more offers for me! Weird. I have not heard of a curve card, will look into that - and also asking the window company about smaller payments. We've paid the deposit in cash but have circa £4k to pay.0
