Laptop - good buy?

Hi
I purchased a "refurbished" laptop from John Lewis yesterday, and not sure if I've got a good buy or not. I paid £400 for a Dell Inspiron 15"6 FHD screen 1920x1080 antiglare LED backlit display, 7th generation intel core i7-7500U processor (4m cache upto 3.50hgz), windows 10 home, AMD radeon R7 M445 graphics 2gb/4gb DDR5 video card.
Ports - 1 HDMI, 2 USB 3.0, 1 USB 2.0 & 1 noble lock slot. Has built in DVD drive. Media card reader - 1SD card (SD, SDHC, SDXC). Hard drive 1TB 5400rpm SATA hybrid drive with 8gb cache
I currently have a Lenovo Thinkpad E520 bought early 2012 which although has been great machine, just getting little slow and fancied a change.
Was looking for a 15"6 screen and max budget £600. When I look on the bottom of the dell it says manufactured in 2016, which is why I'm not sure if I return it if I can get a better machine for similar amount. There is no model number on the machine but from googling the spec think it could be a Dell Inspiron I5-5567. It is a machine for home use I'm looking for. Would for grateful for others views who know more about these things than I do please.

There should be a service tag on the bottom if its a Dell. you can bash this into Dell support site and it'll tell you exactly what it is (or what was originally shipped anyway)
Note that a "SATA Hybrid drive" isn't the same thing as an SSD. There is a small performance boost over a regular drive but it isn't as marked as going to a full SSD would be from a mechanical drive.
You could have done far worse for £400 in all honesty.0 -
Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E520:
Takes five minutes to swap the old and slow mechanical hard drive within, for a solid state drive;
After that, no longer a slow device. Cost from as little as £17. Though best to get something like; https://uk.crucial.com/gbr/en/ct250mx500ssd1

Click on the video below to see the potential difference;
The two at the top of the video have a mechanical hard fitted with the two below having solid state drives fitted.
