hello, I was refused onto ESA last year and then I applied again this year and I’ve been accepted into SG but I was waiting 22 weeks for an assessment does anyone know if I will be entitled to any backpay

You should receive back pay from week 14 of this claim. The back pay will be the difference between the assessment rate and the support group rate. the first week is unpaid, and the next twelve weeks are paid at the assessment rate for your age group.0

So like I am entitled to back pack pay then since I waited 22 weeks for my medical?0

Yes I get that bit, but when did my claim start? My advisor from the job centre sent off for a medical at the end of jan but I didn’t get my esa50 form till April then didn’t get my medical till the 20th June I’m just confused.0

When you claimed ESA you will have been asked when you wanted your claim to start from.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0
