Solid surface worktop more expansive than Quartz?

I've received several quotes for Quartz worktop and they range from £1750 to £2400 for the same pattern but different brands.

Last week I got a quote of £3000 for Minerva worktop which is composite solid surface worktop.

I was surprised to see that it's more expansive than quartz worktop. I've worked out the materials cost is around £1700. This means the actual fitting service is £1300, is this possible? I thought the fitting of solid surface is similar to laminate worktop just a bit more precise?

Don't know the co-efficient of expansion for either, so can't help.

It definitely takes longer to fit solid surface. It's hard work!

Are the quotes from the same place? Otherwise it's hard to know if it's their pricing or the actual cost of it.
