The recovery section is usually hidden and allows you to restore it to a factory, fresh out of the box state and its a lot faster than installing windows from scratch.
Unless your need that tiny bit of space just leave it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Thank you I thought I had left it alone but it seems its been used to back up which it never did
I just wanted to get it back to the recovery part but don't know how too but cheers for your help0 -
How did you get win 10 back on there?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0

Red may just mean the partition is nearly full? Leave it alone unless you need the space.0

Thank you for the info I got windows 10 back with help off hear by using the windows media creator
Has for the red portion of the hard drive its close to been very full so just wanted to know how I can get it back to a factory setting that the comp came with again thanks for your help0 -
The factory version often comes with loads of bloat though. My daughter and granddaughter have identical HP laptops. One is factory and one a clean install (after a W10 upgrade crash and burn !). The clean install is much quicker in just about everything.0
