Raisin/Sterling term ending - Replacement account?
HampshireH
About to spend a few hours this evening looking at options to move my £1000 Raisin balance now the fixed term is due to expire.
Any recommendations I can look into 1st? My expiry is Aug 1st but if I want a replacement product with them I need to decide by Saturday.
I only put the 1k in to take advantage of the rate. Do have ability to add to another account but would prefer a static balance account without additional paying in requirement if possible.
Already have nationwide 5 % & 5% saver. HSBC advance & 5% saver. Plus lower % current accounts (tesco as feeder accounts to the 5% savers)
TIA

Whilst you have £1K "spare" for a week or two, could you make £100+ from the Fineco offer? I'll be told off if I told you to check the referral board for the offer so I won't be telling you to check the referral board for the offer.
Is there anything in the MSE top savings accounts list that tickles your fancy? Have you googled "best savings accounts"?0 -
Thankyou for your reply. I will look into the offer you mentioned.
Been looking at top savers. Just need to dedicate some time to pros and cons

Yet to launch, and you'll probably be able to find better rates manually, but this may be a useful option:

There is a referral incentive of entry to a prize draw if registering your interest. Other option to keep a look out for is Octopus Cash in case they repeat their £50 incentive for a new customer investing £1000.0 -
Quick question, please, on raisin maturity for anyone whose product has already matured.
Mine ( ICICI product) matured on Fri, but no money has been received in my nominated bank account.
I assumed it would be done via Faster Payments....should I wait a few days to see if it arrives by BACS?0 -

They take 2-4 working days to make your funds available in your Raisin account. Once there, you can transfer the funds out to your linked account (or put some or all of them into another of their savings accounts if that suits you). From memory, the transfer was quite quick but I don't think they use Faster Payments.0 -
Our money is also in limbo...as it matured on Thursday 18th. Hopefully it'll be showing soon, Wednesday at the latest, depending on if they class the maturity date as one of the 4 days. How's it going, AKA, Nutwatch? - 12 month spends to date = 2.60% of current retirement "pot" (as at end May 2025)0

Money available today (Tues 23rd), so all withdrawn, which went though straight away and showing in nominated account. Impressed, as OH's nominated account has been switched twice in the interim, and the money seamlessly bounced from Lloyds to Nationwide to Santander without a hitch!! That's great news!
Fineco looks a little too good to be true but so think I will do his in the interim as feedback seems to be positive:beer:0 -
The account opening is a bit laborious, and you need to wait patiently for the bonus money. Well worth doing though if you have a spare £1K kicking about.HampshireH wrote: »That's great news!
