Savings account to pay bills

I've checked THIS THREAD but I don't think it's quite what I need, though may be wrong...
What I'm looking for is a bank account that I can use solely for bills. I would pay money into this account as soon as I get paid (my wife would do the same) and then all bills would come out of that account. The upshot is that whatever is left in our respective personal accounts is "ours", with bills already being accounted for. Neither of us "need" this arrangement, but I just find it a helpful way of making sure I don't inadvertently overspend from my personal account. The added benefit for me is that if I slightly overpay into the account for each bill (e.g. energy is £82? then I'll pay in £85) then not only do bills get covered, but there's a kind of 'windfall' each year. Andy interest on top is quite literally a bonus.
Many years ago I used to use one of my Barclays accounts to do this, but for whatever reason Barclays stopped letting us set up direct debits out of savings accounts. Seems that lots of others have gone the same way.
It sounds like what I want is maybe another current account, perhaps. Is there a restriction on the number of current account you can have? Or can anyone suggest a savings account I can open from which I can pay me bills via DD?
I have done some searching here, but not yet found what I need hence my post. If topic has been covered (and I've not yet found it) please can someone direct me to said topic?
Thanks!

You can have any number of current accounts that you like, and I think a current account is what you need. Check out the bank accounts section of this site, which will give you an idea which one to go for.Retired at age 56 after having "light bulb moment" due to reading MSE and its forums. Have been converted to the "budget to zero" concept and use YNAB for all monthly budgeting and long term goals.0

You need a current account not a savings account.
Have a look at ones that pay cashback on bills

Santander 123 Lite might suit. No interest, but cashback on bills and only £1 pm fee.0
