Samsung Smart TV - USB Recording

Hi,
I have a Samsung Smart TV and I’ve plugged in a 128Gb USB Stick to record programs I want to keep (it’s several years old)
There is a mix of HD and SD programs on this old USB Stick.
This memory stick is now full so I’ve bought a new 256Gb stick and that working fine.
I’ve plugged the old stick into my old MacBook Pro to backup to my external hard drive and then I was going to try it to copy onto the new stick so I can still watch it all on my TV. Thinking if I’m watching it on the same TV it was recorded from the DMR shouldn’t be an issue.
However the old stick isn’t recognised by my MacBook Pro.
Is it because it’s a Mac or the file format used by the Samsung TV....?
Does anyone know how I can copy the old recordings either onto the new stick or a way to watch the programs from off the old stick without having to keep swapping them over.....?
Thanks

Most likely the file format of the device is not supported by your Mac. What file format is it?
I'd personally just boot up into a live usb of Linux and see if it can be read on there.0 -

Have you tried using a USB hub?
You aren't the first with this issue; https://www.tenforums.com/software-apps/44572-editing-recordings-samsung-smart-tv-srf-format.html0 -

TV. TVs usually use their own proprietary file format, and partition format, or a variant of Linux ones. Mac or PC won't be able to read the disk. You're stuck with those programmes on that disk.
If you're so inclined, and desperate, I guess you could try cloning the smaller disk onto the bigger one, if it's at all accessible by cloning software. Maybe a Linux boot disc could read it.0
