Best Way to Remove Decking

Hello, I hope this is the right section to post this.
We are in the process of buying a house, and knew from the initial viewing that the decking in the garden was too close to the wall of the house (it's literally touching it) and sloping towards it. It was raining at the time and we could see the water running towards the house. Initially, we were thinking of just trying to cut away to edge of the decking close to the house to allow drainage, but our homebuyers report surveyor was quite concerned about it and flagged it up as a big issue. As a result, we've decided to just rip it up ASAP when we get the keys. We're not fussed about it as I'm not a massive fan of decking and would rather have a nice patio there anyway, so were thinking of getting rid at some point.
My question is, how easy is it to rip up decking in a way that we could possibly stick it in our garage to use in a different area of the garden when we get round to it? Is it likely to come up in sections, or will it just be a case of smashing it to pieces? The decking itself looks fairly new, so it seems a shame not to try and reuse it somehow.
Thank you

Depends if the boards are nailed or screwed down. Should be screwed down so it should be easy to remove with an electric screwdriver or drill . Otherwise you are looking at crowbarring them up off the joist
Joists may be bolted together or nailed onto metal joist hangers so either unbolt or lever apart if possible . They may just be resting in the joist hangers if a bodge
It should be fixed to upright posts cemented in to the ground but if a cowboy job the posts may just be resting on the ground making removal easierEx forum ambassador
