Hi,
My partner received a PPI refund from Barclays about 4 years ago as a result of using the Claims Advisory Group.
Out of the blue they have now received an additional payment as a result of Barclays having miscalculated the original payment and finding an additional refund for another credit card.
This refund has been generated solely by Barclays and they have only informed my Partner as they say that the original claimant is not regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
This is a substantial refund and my partner us worried that she should inform the original PPI claimant, and they will take their cut?
I have said that in the circumstances that it is nothing to do with them, they don't know the money has been refunded, and in view of the bank saying they are now not regulated there is no need to tell anyone..
Am I right?

You will be pleased to know that the CMC rules state they are not allowed to charge against additional payments after the original case is closed unless they got a new letter of authority completed.

Exact same thing happened to my wife - same bank too. Just accept the additional payment and move on - no need to involve the 3rd party CMC any more - they did their bit already.0
