Hi everyone,
We've had some heavy rain during the night and this morning.I decided I would go to Bury Market on the bus.Didnt spend much,2 new tea towels and some crochet cotton - I know how to live :rotfl:Popped into marks on the way back for the meal deal so we will have roast chicken later, and DS2 will have pork.Remembered afterwards that DGC aren't staying tonight so I could have got something different ( the chicken serves 4 so better value than some things)
Gers, knees can be pesky things can't they.Dumpling, sorry you were down.Aod,sounds nasty.Speky-hope you get to the bottom of the dizziness.Glad to hear Nelski is just busy RR.Hugs to those in need xx:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Afternoon all and sorry to read of all the health woes on here.
I had a profitable little bus ride to Ilkley this morning. Before M & S I popped into Laura Ashley and the sale has now got more bargainous. I got a few necklaces reduced to £6, with matching ear-rings reduced to £2. And floaty scarves to £6. So one set for me and the rest have gone in my present stash for upcoming birthdays and Xmas gifts. Sadly no bargains in M & S food but I did get what I had gone for!
The rain duly arrived as promised just as I was leaving but not heavy and, as yet, no thunder. It seems to have stopped now but I think the gardens have had enough now.
With getting a day in front of myself with the cleaning I keep thinking it's Saturday. I soon get confused!
Enjoy the rest of the day if you can folks and take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Afternoon everyone....just been having a quick catch -up and a cuppa as I finished work early today as it's the end of term. Already got my work clothes in the wash as it's sunny, though we are forecast showers later. Hoping to have a nice lazy weekend, then I'm off to Majorca next Wednesday for a week. Eldest DD is joining me,,,,I fly from Edinburgh and DD from Stockholm and we'll meet at Palma airport. Really looking forward to it.
Having a Chinese with youngest DD for tea tonight....sort of a tradition to have a takeaway when we break up for summer - even though I'm the only one still at school! Then I'm going to look after little granddaughter while DD helps take her living room carpet up - she is moving house in a few weeks and has sold it on Facebook!0 -
My GP phoned and was very helpful - we discussed various options to help me get some sleep and, hopefully, reached a good solution. I've agreed that once I'm back home we can explore a knee replacement, something I've put off for years. I'm posted off a SAE for the prescription.
DM hasn't eaten anything today - she had a dreadful night too (for different reasons to me) and has stayed almost horizontal all day. She's asked for three pieces of a baguette and managed to eat just one piece, without butter or anything. She feels that she'll eat again tomorrow.
Just as I was leaving my friend's house the rain started - so much for a walk! It was fairly hard rain too.
Happy end of term to those who reached it today - and happy holidays!0 -
evening! totally forgot I could post again, so apologies! same round of puhing him to eat, to take tablets, to drink, basically I spend the day badgering him and he gets annoyed eventually. Thing is, he moans about not being able to do things, and to be fair, he can't do them, or he couldn't but his throat is better now, and he knows he has to eat to avoid getting weaker and losing more wiehgt but knowing and doing are two different things. I'm feeling a bit like a broken record.
Hope you sleep tonight Gers and you're better from your accident. dumpling, hope she does come back Monday for you. AOD, ew, dentists, say no more. nanny, I waved, did I see you stick your hand up and waggle it? TA, just good wishes really and the same to you SO ...snoozer, great news about steve! rr, hope Laura is oK too.
Finished with Friday!Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi0
