Post Office Credit Cards

Hey,

Does anyone happen to know the list of Post Office credit cards that were available, and their interest rates, before they started the switch to another provider and did not accept applications anymore? They do not even list the cards they provided anymore.

Thanks

Looks like Bank of Ireland are pulling out of UK Credit cards:

    https://www.postoffice.co.uk/credit-card
Our existing credit card provider Bank of Ireland UK has announced it will be transferring its credit card operations in the UK to a new partner.
If you're an existing customer, you don't need to do anything- you can continue to use your Post Office Credit Card as normal. You will receive information about the transfer to the new partner before it happens.
Thank you for being a valued Post Office Credit Card customer.

    A bit of further info:
Existing customers can continue to use their Post Office Credit Card in exactly the same way as they do now. Bank of Ireland UK will continue to service these cards until these customers are transferred to a new card issuer, JaJa Finance. You will be notified when this happens.

It also affects the AA branded creditcards as well.

More detailss from Irish Independent Newspaper here (bin the survey for story):

A bit of info on JaJa Finance:

Not exactly sure what is going on with the Post Office Credit cards after reading this:

Post Office to offer a new credit card range with Capital One to a wide range of customers

Post Office will leverage Capital One's data and technology expertise and partnership capabilities

London, UK 28th June 2019: Post Office today announced a new credit card partnership with Capital One UK.

Capital One is a top UK credit card provider, with over 20 years of lending experience, as well as industry-leading underwriting, technology and digital capability.

Announcing the partnership, Post Office and Capital One said their shared commitment to financial inclusion and providing transparency for customers had been vital in securing it.

Both Post Office and Capital One are purpose-led organisations with long histories of innovation, supporting communities and serving a diverse range of customers.

Through this new partnership, Post Office and Capital One will be offering credit cards to meet a broad range of customer needs; from those who need the extra security and protection offered by paying with a credit card, to those who are looking to build a sound credit history to support other life goals.

Owen Woodley, CEO of Post Office Financial Services and Telecoms, said: "We're delighted to be working with Capital One as we continue to develop our credit card offering for customers. Capital One is a leading credit card provider and we feel its goal to make credit simple is a strong fit for the Post Office, complementing our desire to cater for a wide range of our customers and meet their changing needs.

"Together, we are committed to serving our customers and helping people to succeed with credit in a way that is simple, straightforward and supportive.

"We are looking forward to sharing more details about this partnership and products in the near future."
In the FAQ's on the Post Office Credit Card website it now makes reference to both Jaja Finance and Capital One.

So, I am not sure if the Jaja takeover is still on or if Cap One are now taking over.

    Edit:

Reading into this a bit further, I think it means that JaJa Finance are taking over all existing Post Office Credit Card accounts (currently administered by the Bank of Ireland) although all Post Office terms & conditions etc will remain in force.

In the future all new Post Office Credit Card customers will receive Post Office Credit Cards administered by Capital One.

Not really going to cause confusion is it?

It was a the Platinum card that didn't charge for overseas purchases in the first place.

So if you have one, you know the answer.
