Local Search Provider Gave Me An Incorrect Search Result

Im new on the house market and maybe thats why Im thinking everybody will think like me
(not buying a house on a private road).
What if, in 10 years time, someone will knock on my door saying is his road? Thats the Q Im asking myself. what do I do then?0 -
Any insurance on the incorrect search result would almost certainly be limited to the effect on the value of the property. Is there any?
Yes, the search result is insured. Ive been told twice by the solicitor who investigated the issue.Have you spoken to your neighbours to find out what happens about maintenance? Have you considered actually sorting some of the potholes yourself...?
How bad is this road? Can you post a picture?
The are 8 houses on this road. Ive spoke with my left and right neigbour. Theyv got no idea about the road. Actualy, they havent even read the search report. I think none of them had.

In respect to fixim them myself, yeah, I did had a look into this and Im gonna do 2 of them. The bigger ones!

The road is a public vehicular right of way, isn't it? So it makes zero difference who owns it.0

Did the same solicitor also ask for the lender? If so, then the faulty report may also have caused them a loss and I’d bet that they have a larger legal budget than you to fight this. Also, depending on the size of the mortgage and therefore their interest in the property their ‘loss’ may be greater than yours.The road is a public vehicular right of way, isn't it?
