PIP reviews over pension age question.

Hello,
So basically a relative has been on dla awarded indefinitely.
They have now been awarded PIP. The award has been made until MAY 2022 with a review date set at MAY 2021. The assessors report which i obtained a copy recommended a review at 2 years. Recent news from DWP has said that people who reach pension age will have light reviews every 10 years. However in this instance the claimant will turn pension age NOV 2021, which is after the planned review date but before the award ends.

Could it be that because the award has been made which takes them past state pension age, then the planned review should be in 10 years times instead?

Interesting as can’t find any similar scenarios.
