Obstructive Parking @ Tesco (Horizon)

Cannot find a thread like this case and the appeal template does not seem to be as relevant:
- PCN issued for 'Obstructive Parking' by Horizon Parking
- Car parked briefly (a few min) at a Tesco on some yellow hatched area denoting a no-parking zone. This area is before the main entrance to the car park (and conveniently very close to an ATM hence s the reason for a few min stop with hazards on)
- There are pictures of the car within the zone with one side of the car on the yellow hatched zone, likely from someone patrolling as there are pictures of the front and rear of the vehicle at a low height
- Thus, this does not involve an overstay, parking in a disabled bay, etc and there are photos of the offence already provided
Have sent of the standard template on the online appeal as the PCN states "The terms and conditions of parking on this private land are clearly set out on signage within the car park" so would like to see them show this portion (although maybe there is wording in the yellow hatched area).
Thought I'd put a thread up if others have had similar PCNs. Will update.

How lazy do you have to be to do this?Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0 -
Send the template you've found. The story is completely irrelevant.0
-
using the template appeal was correct, appealing as keeper
there was no offer to park so its called forbidding signage , look it up
wait and see what their reply will be , probably a rejection, which is what the template is designed to obtain ( its not supposed to be relevant to your case, the newbies thread even tells people that )
as mentioned above, nobody is interested in the back story0 -

It's one of the reasons retailers contract with PPCs. Then it's usually those who make minuscule slip ups (often very vulnerable people) who pay a massive price for those who don't give a f**k, and dump their car wherever they please.
But, no worries, the hazards were on ....... :cool:Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What does the CoP say with regards to grace periods??From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Is this Tesco at Clacton?
They have very recently taken on Horizon and whilst there are a number of signs there are no warnings of the introduction of the new regime.
I have already seen quite a number parked on hatched areas and parked with wheels outside of bays.
Annoyingly if I have pointed this out to drivers the look I get is one of what business is it of yours !!
You can’t help some people.
In the meantime try a politely worded complaint to the CEO asking for his help as a regular customer.

DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It was a letter issued to the house. Still no response from Horizon either way0

Surely there are no grace periods for obstructive parking.
IMO OP deserved the ticket, but not the huge claim for damages. You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
