CSA And UC

Quick question,

I'm trying to find out for someone.

Is Child Maintenance automatically deducted from UC?
As on the GOV.UK website it says 'reductions will not be made on the paying parents UC'

Does this mean that if the person is on UC CSA will not deduct any payment from the amount and therefore it must be manually paid by the paying parent?

Can't find anything anywhere else other than the above on GOV

Not automatic. Child maintenance can apply for UC to make a deduction from the UC standard allowance of the parent owing the maintenance. This then goes to the child maintenance group and they presumably pay the parent who provides primary care for the children.
