I just completed the online switch and everything seemed okay and filled in my current account im switching from etc...
I now come to a screen which says
"We'll be in contact soon"
"We’ve stored all the details you’ve given us, so you don’t need to do anything. We’re currently very busy, but we’ll be back in touch as quickly as possible."
What is happening now? Do I need to leave this webpage open for it to do anything or should I close it? Contact me soon on what or how?
Thnx

Yes. Your work there is done.
Now wait for the next steps0 -
Close the webpage... & good luck, you'll need it if my experience is anything to go by.
Applied on 26th May, had the same screen as you at the end.
Waited 2 weeks & didn't hear anything, no emails, letters... nothing.
Applied again and had the same screen... a week later & still nothing (this was 3 weeks by now).
Phoned customer service, foreign lady answered, could barely understand me. Took my details & said she couldn't help, advised I had to go into branch.
I asked if I needed to make an appointment? She said "No, just turn up".
Following day I rushed to the branch from work, arrived at 3.40pm, was greated at the door by a very unhelpful staff member who said "the woman I spoke to on the phone was wrong", I did need an appointment & they couldn't deal with me today - even though the branch was empty. Honestly I can't tell you how horrid & unhelpful she was. I explained I'd finished work early & rushed to the branch, it had been 3.5 weeks since I'd first applied, and now I'd also applied twice and heard nothing. She was having none of it & the next available appointment in branch was a further 2 weeks away. I explained I couldn't commit to the appointment as I have to give notice to book time off in work, thus why I applied online.
I came home and phoned customer service again, this time managed to get through to UK customer sevice, explained all again, was put on hold for 10 minutes, was then told there is a back log & they will get in touch in due course...
Fast forward another 4 weeks & my switch completed yesterday. Card & pin number arrived yesterday aswell (both came together in the post on the same day). I've phoned them to order a secure key for online banking, so probably have to wait ANOTHER week for it to turn up...
I think they pay the switching bonus within 31 days of the switch completing, honestly can't wait so I can switch away into my existing Barclays & get double bubble Blue Rewards.
I only qualifiy for the 3% regular saver aswell - not the "preferential" 5% one, so theres really no need to keep the account for the RS either, as I can earn more by putting the £3k into a 2% 1 year fix with Metro or Shawbrook.
Honestly, I know its £75, but the hassle to get it... I'll never have any future dealings with them again. Its been by far and away the worst banking switch/opening/ongoing/never-ending saga I've ever had, and being a seasoned "tart", I've been with just about every bank...
To put it into context, I switched to Natwest at roughly the same time for the "Switch & Stay" offer they had on. I went into their branch, with no appointment & was greeted with open arms buy a lovely lady who couldn't have been more helpful, no appointment needed, made me two cups of tea & biscuits and my account was open in 45 minutes, card & pin came within a week... Night & day compared with HSBC.0 -
just chatted to live chat and they said I "should" get something in the post within 5 working days0
