    I got caught the same way and for the same reason.
    I wasn't made aware of the alert facility until I phoned up to complain. I was more annoyed as I have two current accounts with them and could easily have transferred some money over if I'd realised.
    Still working on the goodwill gesture.

    Why is it the banks job to offer you a goodwill gesture for your poor money management?
