PPI claim again?

Options
My late husband applied for PPI about 6 years ago and I think we received £500. Would that search have included everything that we were owed? Or should I try to claim again and see if I am owed any more money? He dealt with all our finances when he was alive so I would have no idea where to start.
Please advise. Thanks in advance

If his complaint was successful, there's nothing more to be refunded.

A PPI refund is defined and regulated.

You need to know who you had credit with to make a complaint so you need to check your records to find out who it was who loaned you money.
One successful complaint would not cover every company if you did have multiple loans or credit cards

Well that last message has sent me back to confusion as it contradicts previous messages from others.
Can I speak to someone who really knows instead of this messaging malarkey? Who do I contact?
    Thanks

It doesn't contradict the other answers. If a lender upheld your complaint, then you received a full refund and they won't be giving you any more.

If you're now saying you may have had other policies you wish to complain about, obviously you would need to make those complaints separately to those lenders.

I suggest you contact your Bank in the first instance. If you have no idea who else you held finances with, though, it's going to be very difficult.

Don't be tempted to sign up with a Claim Firm as they know no more about your situation than this "messaging malarkey" and their charges are daylight robbery...

Sorry, I was just pointing out that one successful complaint doesn't mean he complained to all lenders [ if there were any more] and that if you did have credit with any other lenders, you must complain directly to them.
You need your own records to tell you ho you had credit with though, no one, especially not cliams companies, can magic up information.

Your first post made it sound like you were going to repeat your complaint to the same bank again. You didn't say you were asking about other financial companies (and I don't think you were)
    Who do I contact?
If you had PPI policies with other financial institutions and have reason to believe they were in some way mis-sold, then obviously you'd need to make complaints to them!

    Ok thanks all.
Perhaps my initial message was not clear (hence easier to speak to someone! - the old fashioned way!)
I know we had loans but as my late husband dealt with all our finances and a very long time ago now, I really don’t know where to start, as I wouldn’t still have any paperwork related to these loans. Because he applied I’m guessing, that he would have contacted all companies (??).
Think I’ll just have to leave alone..... :0(
