  • Thanks to the previous 3 posts. After spending futile hours on the internet, I followed their links and have started the process of selling my CBA shares. I'll report back when it's done. Thanks again.
  • Hi Focusritefocus have you managed to sell your CBA shares? I’ve found this as I’m looking for advice to sell mine as a UK resident, finding it hard to know what to do.

As suggested above, have you tried Walker Crips?
  • Thanks, yes I have been in contact with Walker Crips, I was just wondering if @Focusritefocus had an update on their experience

I know that this thread is old, but I just want to cry. LINK Market services is now MUFG and both companies are atrocious.

My dad died in 2023 and I'm grappling with trying to get the holding information (they sent me the holding information for the wrong date, after intially sending me informaiton over email which was contrary to their processes and couldn't be verified!). Previously he had attempted to transfer the shares into my name but he went around and around in circles with no success.

Has anyone actually had success? Like I said, I want to cry :(

@Sue59_2 can we pal up for mutual support and knowledge sharing?

  • @Focusritefocus can you provide any advice/help?

I am very late to this discussion but I am looking for guidance for my sister-in-law whose late husband (my brother - died 2023) in selling shares in Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

We can see the holding via MUFG in Australia. We have downloaded all the forms but it seems to be a daunting process, potentially full of pitfalls. I have contacted a UK broker and an Aus broker both mentioned in this chat but neither can help.

Any guidance for the DIY process would be appreciated.

Hi everybody just want to revisit this thread as my father (who is still with us) has £20k shares in CBA and we've just gone through the faff of registering on the new MUFG platform. Anyway, he is 72 this year and we are just starting to think about how we manage this shareholding going forward can anyone recommend the best course of action? Thanks.

What sort of management do you have in mind? The thread is mainly about selling rather than holding, but what is it that you want to do and to what extent is this (in)adequately supported via MUFG?
