Neighbours parking in private space

Yeah, I'm trying the friendly note route first as I know some people react defensively. I have a feeling that the owner of the car has gone on holiday (so probably parked in my bay to allow their usual space to be used by someone else in the household) as it hasn't moved since Sunday night/Monday morning, on closer inspection I'm fairly sure it's the car regularly parked in the other bay so I've left a friendly note on that car too asking if it is their car and if it can please be moved as I need the bay today. Neither car/note had moved when I popped home for lunch though..possibly the household has gone away which would be frustrating.
I've typed a new note (in a plastic wallet now weather has turned) with location of the actual visitor bays as I figured I'd probably react better to a friendly note with some helpful info than I would a nasty note or sticker. On the plus side, it's stopped the other neighbour parking in my spot so maybe it'll have broken his habit by the time they get back and move.0 -
Without wanting to sound rude, this sounds a bit like wanting your cake & eating it.
If you have an allocated space you own, then use that to park in & leave the public highway available for anyone to use - as is their right. No one can "reserve" a bit of public highway as private parking just because it is outside their house.0 -

In simpler terms, the neighbours may well have sussed out by now she is a one car household and prefers to park outside rather than in her space so the odds are quite good someone else can snaffle that space quite easily.
I'd alternate for a bit, unless of course you're home all day as you are quite aware of various comings and goings, then it looks a bit weird lol0 -

Presuming that this doesn't breach any leasehold conditions or covenants for the estate.0
