Pothole Claim Transerv Scotland
Just wondering anyone out there had any experience claiming against Transerv Scotland for damage to car caused by huge potholes in road ?
I submitted a claim around 2 months ago I received confirmation receipt of my claim but every time I phone they say they are waiting to here back form the inspection team ? I used the online template from this site and submitted pictures of damaged tyre and buckled alloy wheel. Total damage cost is £880
How long do they have to reply to my claim ?
Thanks

Update = Transerve Scotland refusing to pay any compensation due to them explaining they were not aware of any damage to the road ? They explained the road gets inspected every 7 days ? What a load of lies the road is still full of large pothole. I have asked to see the road inspection reports under the freedom of information act. I will update this forum when I get a response.0

Just had a reply from Transerve Scotland the letter reads = I have to advise you that the freedom of information ( Scotland ) does not apply to private companies such as ourselves but only to government departments , local authorities and public bodies. The freedom of information act 2000 does not apply to Scotland and its legislation pertinent to England and wales only.
Under the terms of our contract , all requests for such information in relation to Scottish trunk roads should be made in written to The Freedom Of Information Officer Transport Scotland
Does this mean I can still request this information from this officer ?
I assume its up to Transerve Scotland if they want to release this information ?
How does the public know that the road reports are true and correct not just made up ? As the road I'm claiming for is pothole city and its not getting repaired and according to Transerve Scotland the road gets inspected every 7 days ?0 -
Anyone any contacts that could assist me in replying to Transerve Scotland ? They refusing to pay any compensation. I'm trying to ask for the road reports but unsure on how to word the letter correctly ? Thanks.0
