Sky signal

Long story which i'll not go into with subscription but basically we've had a sky box for about a year now, cancelled sub about 6 months ago and we've been getting free to view channels through it, but today it seems to say no signal is being received.

Is that because Sky have totally disconnected us now, or is it merely the signal quality (been like that since about 7.30am?)

If your not sure of if you are getting a signal or not press your services button. There should be an option which is system setup or something on that vein and pressing this will lead you to antoher menu where you can select option 4 which is signal test. Thsi should show a representation of your signal strength and reception as two grey bars. These should be at least half full however this is a good indication if you are not getting a signal (check connections). Then backup and press option 5 which is a system test this should prove if your phone line is connected. If all well and good but still no signal retune your tv making sure that you use the additional rf socket on the back of your sky box to bring your sky through your normal tv channels (this will checks your scart and av leads). This should have broken the problem into the relevant area as the only thing left is the box or remote control (remove batteries for ten minutes before replacing them). If the box is knackered i'm sorry you need to get a new one.
