How about reading another one already written - hundreds and hundreds of WS have been written that include it.

Try searching for the obvious keywords PCM Bull witness statement ?!

I phoned the court after the date the claimants fee had to be submitted to confirm if my court preparation was necessary

The court confirmed the claimant had paid the necessary fees, so i submitted my defence to the court and to the parking company as per the 14 days before trial date

I was expecting to receive the WS's case from the claimant when a letter arrived stating their 'notice of discontinuance'. Another victory against this parking firm

is there a way i can recover costs for doc preparation/stationary etc?

i had submitted a 'schedule of costs' to the courts with my witness statement so have already specified the litigation time before i was made aware of this

i don't want to have to go through the court process again but i've seen a statement from the court that they could be liable for defendants costs

Well done ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST .......

....... but how about you telling us now which parking firm, otherwise this rather lacks important context.

Yay, well done, that's a win! Well worth your hard work.

It's rare to manage to get costs in this situation, but see the info in the NEWBIES thread about how BlueToffee got their costs after the event, IIRC.
