I've just found our old Ikea invoice 2008 and the units were £2854 - no worktops, fitting or appliances.0

Really helpful comments everyone. It gives me an idea of what to plan and look for. Again really appreciate people's effort to explain me in detail. Everyone is not an expert in these areas and that's why we ask and learn. So some people who are being rude, just grow up and learn from all the valuable comments so many people are sharing.0

Hi there- not sure if helpful, but I have another London datapoint.
We paid approximately £5k for all bathroom furniture, fixtures and fittings, tiles etc, then about another £6k to have it fitted. Slightly larger-than-average bathroom in a pretty standard two-bed London flat. (It has room for a full-size bath and separate shower.)
Fixtures and fittings were what I’d call ‘mid range’ - mostly Crosswater stuff, and from their mid-level range, if that makes sense. (They have an ‘essentials’ line, or similar, which we avoided.)
The biggest single bathroom expense was the shower. We spent about £900 on a really good Grohe rainfall shower (and to be honest it’s probably the best £900 I’ve ever spent!).
We likely could have got everything a bit cheaper online, but our bathroom supplier gave us excellent service, liaised with our builder, etc, etc, and was well worth the money.
Same for the builder - I’m sure we could have got the work cheaper, but we paid a premium to find someone with relatively short-term availability who was also decent.
Other work is harder to break down but I think a full rewire came in at around £6k too.0
