UK State Pension "pay slip"?

Is there any way of providing proof of what you receive as your UK state pension? I got a letter telling me what I would be receiving before my pension started & I got another letter saying what the payment would be for the current tax year but is there anywhere online where I can get a list of payments made? With my DB pension I can download a PDF pay slip every month & a P60 at the end of the tax year but AFAICS there is no way of proving what I am receiving every four weeks as my state pension other than my bank statement. Will the Pensions Service provide a document showing what has been paid? I had a look round the website & can't find anything.

You receive a letter once a year (around March) telling you what your weekly state pension amount will be for the coming year.

    There is no P60.

Note – you do not get a form P60 after the end of each tax year for your state pension, so you must keep your own records of your state pension income.

You refer to 'proving' - to whom do you need to provide proof? Is this related to a benefit claim?

No, not for a benefit claim. Just thinking about examples like applying for a mortgage or other loan where you are required to produce three months pay slips as proof of income. In fact any time when you need proof of income like e.g. when applying for residence if retiring to a foreign country

It just seems odd considering how easy it would be to provide an online record of payments. I guess it's just historic in that as you never did get a paper "pension pay slip" they are not going to start giving out an electronic one. Even just an annual statement of payments made at the end of the tax year would be useful.
