PIP, how long until results?

I received a letter saying they have all the information the need to make a decision, but still haven't heard anything.

The letter was dated over a month ago. Does anyone know roughly how long after contact you receive your award letter?

Thanks.

That's just a standard letter they send everyone. There's still no timescales and waiting times depend on backlog in your area. Once a decision is made they'll send you the decision letter.

Have you received a copy of the assessment report? This will give you some idea what the decision is likely to be because they mostly go with the report.

So it could still be a while even after this letter?

I'm only worried as my result letter for ESA went missing from the post, I phoned up and I was told the result, the woman said she'd send out another letter, but that one too didn't show up. I don't want this to go missing too.

I haven't got the report yet. I haven't requested it. I had some issues with the medical, and I'm dreading seeing the report before the result and I've not asked for it yet.

As advised, the letter is just a standard letter. I've known people wait 6-8 weeks after receiving that letter. I've know people wait just 2 weeks. It all depends on back log.

If you're worried about not receiving the decision letter then ring DWP to ask if a decision's been made, if it has they'll tell you.

The report can come in useful if you're not happy with the decision and need to request the MR.
