    Progress report from me...

First wash load out and second now swishing.
    Potato salad made
Huge batch of bolognese sauce simmering, will make pasta bake for tomorrow evening and rest will be frozen for later meals, should get at least 2 more meals for us both out of that!
Clementines on the go to make clementine cake, will freeze that for when we have guests next weekend, it goes really well with ice cream and looks like a fancy pud when it’s really simple! My kind of thing!
2 fruit cakes in the oven, one for us and one will be delivered to FIL next week, again will freeze beforehand as it is another one which freezes and keeps very well.
WUALTD all the bowls and pots from that lot!

More tea now while I wait for the oven timer to go!

Going to have a sit in the conservatory with the paper and polish my halo having got all that on the go!

Have a lovely day all xx
  • Still awake at 2am, was up at 6.

    Not impressed.

Himself has snored since 11pm and throughout the night.

Best get in with the upstairs bathroom.

Hello all! I have recently re-joined but I just can't seem to get going. My partner and I both took a week off in July with the intention of having a massive decluttering and cleaning session. We did some stuff but it was a much needed break and to be honest, I feel like I slept through most of the week.
I'm really going to try and get going next week.
Today, I am going to make sure all the dishes are done and the kitchen is presentable and try my best to make a difference to the laundry mountain.
    Wish me luck!

Bolognese sauce portioned out for freezer and pasta bake assembled, will just have to fling that in the oven either tomorrow or Tues after work.
Clementine cake done, made 2 in the end, have cut one in to slices and will freeze like that, we can just defrost a portion as and when we fancy it then!
2 more loads of pots washed and another load of washing in the machine, it’s looking quite grey here so I think that may be my last load today but will see how it goes.
DH has mowed the lawn and tidied the garden so it all looks nice out there again now.

Sending good luck vibes to Jellyb... x

Will have some lunch shortly and then think we might head out for a walk this afternoon.

    Hello everyone.
I’ve tried to catch up as best I can, but hugs, sticks and spoons all round as needed.
We got back late last night from a lovely break with friends in Mademoiselle land. Waved to HB on the way there and back.
WM is on its 5th load. I’ve put away all the shopping goodies and looked at the mess, filth and general clutter surrounding me. So my sum flying has been to pick a bunch of sweet peas from the garden. :D
Another one where school here doesn’t break up until next Thursday so I’m in job 2 for one day next week. Otherwise I’ll be in for new thread and, like Iona, am quaking in my boots....

Kitchen and bathroom given a bit more of a going over than they were last week, so there's some real progress in those rooms after a long period of neglect. And I've washed the floor in both rooms as well - much needed. I'm surprised how dirty the kitchen floor is, actually, after washing it two Sundays in row; I didn't think it would be that bad.

Dishwasher loaded and run, bedroom tidied, and clothes put to one side for the WM when the leak's fixed. Now to vacuum.
    Better is good enough.
