Quality Voice Dialling Mobile Phone??

Hello,
I just purchased a Universal Bluetooth Handsfree Carkit By a Palma cost
£50-00 sterling from www.QVCUK.com
It clips in place on the Sun Visor above The Drivers seat in the Car
It supposed to used in conjunction with a Mobile Phone that has Voice Recognition i.e Voice Dialing in the Phonebook so that you can Say "Mary" and it will detect this and dial the number handsfree,
The Network Provider Customer Service Agent said to me that these Voice Dial Phones are actually NOT good at all especially with the background noise when driving the car.
Any suggestions to which brand and made of Mobile Phone should I purchase or have I been conned by QVC Shopping Channel it has a 30 day Money back gaurantee.
