Dekton Trilium kitchen worktop

Hello. We are currently undergoing a house renovation. We had decided on a solid wood kitchen worktop, purely because granite or quartz isn’t really our thing. I stumbled across worktops by Dekton today and fallen in love at first sight with the Trilium. Way way more than our budget, however, I would be willing to stretch if it really does do what it says on the tin. We spend a lot of time cooking and in the kitchen, it really is the hub of the home. I also have a rather clumsy father who doesn’t seem to notice spilt water etc, and with wood, it means my husband and I are constantly on tenter hooks when we know he is doing the dishes and in the kitchen. Can anyone share their experiences? Is it worth it? And are there any cheaper alternatives out there? Any guidance would be most appreciated.

Dekton's without a doubt one of the most impressive worktop materials I've ever seen; it's used in a lot of very high-end venues and such and and has a guarantee of 25 years. It's expensive but the quality is undeniable and it's very highly regarded .

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
What they dont tell you about porcelain worktops-

Extremely brittle material and chips very easily
    Not repairable
Very expensive to buy and fabricate
Most patterns are surface printed only so the finished edges have a plain colour often quite different to the surface colour

Go ahead and buy it with the facts in front of you.
