Fake Train Ticket

Hi i bought a monthly train ticket from a guy on the train the ticket looked genuine how wrong was I. The checker said it was fake and i have just received a letter from the train company for my own account of the story. I don't know what to do i wanted to go to the police but i dont know if its what i should do . Any advice or comment will be appreciated

This is a forum that deals with private parking tickets so you're unlikely to find much help here.

However, if you believe that you have been the victim of a crime then you should report the incident to the police. You can do that by visiting your local station or by calling the non-emergency number 101.

No rail tickets are transferrable, though this is mostly impossible to enforce for most simple single/return tickets. You are allowed to buy a ticket for somebody else.

In any case you need a photocard for monthly tickets.

Some transport network tickets that are valid on trains may be transferrable.
