Not able to get a good look, but I guess Copper Beech.
It's a forest tree so anticipate longer term problems, especially when some of your neighbours thinks it's lovely & gets a tree preservation order on it;)
Fence maximum height = 2m.
Fence + small tree = potentially 4m and legal.0 -
I'm guessing the copper beech is the impressive red tree, but indeed Dave is right - I am talking about the 4m specimen covering the fence at the back. Looks like it is growing from the neigbour's garden behind in any case so can't be sure it's one trunk.0

Personally, I'd get out the SDS wrecking drill and have a bit of the concrete up, rather than pot up plants I want to grow 4m or so.
My old Dad used to have a cotoneaster lacteus as a strategic boundary tree. Evergreen and ultimately large, but he kept his pruned. Looked a bit like a lollipop, but did the job it was intended for.0
