Economy Energy still waiting refund?
Hi,
Is anyone still waiting for a refund from economy energy through OVO, despite many emails, I am waiting for £200 refund. I receive a stock answer of they are still working in the credit balances.
1) I swapped in Oct before they went bust
2) I have copies of my final bills and sent these on for my refund to OVO
I’m sure if it was the other way around they would not wait for the debt to takes this long to be paid.
I have tried to contact the administrators but my emails are ignored.
Anyone else having this issue ?
Can anyone point me in the right direction of where I should go next ?

I switched from Economy Energy to another supplier around 1 Dec. I received my final Economy Energy statement in May and then contacted OVO Energy to request a refund in June (I read somewhere to leave it 3 weeks after final statement before contacting them). OVO Energy dealt with it without fuss and credited my bank account immediately (received within a few days if I recall correctly). I contacted them via phone rather than email.0 -

Can I ask how you received your final bill? , I downloaded mine from the economy energy site myself. I am just so frustrated regarding this and just wondered if anyone else was having an issue0 -
I just treated online bills as final. Nothing came through in the post.
Following an early Dec switch to new supplier, I received final online Gas statement in January and final online Electric statement in May. I then waited 3 weeks before calling OVO Energy and registering refund request (as per instructions). They had my account details on their system and knew how much I was owed (and the amount matched my expectation).
If you have only been communicating via email, I would suggest you call and speak to someone (assuming you have waited at least 3 weeks since your final bill).0
