Directline home insurance price increases after a new quote everytime

We were looking for Directline home insurance. We took a quote on 6th july the price was £532 and I did a requote today but without any changes to the details the price increased by £80 or so and quoted £610. I checked my email from 6th July and tried to recover that quote which was cheaper. now direct line website says that the original quote from 6th july cannot be found. So i made my husband do a quote on his laptop hoping we will get the price quoted initially...now it went even higher as £752 .. All with same information.infact the last quote didnt include some of the optional items like home emergency cover inspite of that the price was high.how to get the pricce that we were offered first?

Your getting close to needing insurance so will probably pay a bit more.

If you get decent quotes you need to save them, open the old quote and goto the payment screens and then use another browser to do another quote, if its cheaper buy that one if not buy on the old one.

Some quotes are valid only whilst the screen is open, some for a set number of days, generally upto 28. But some are only valid for that session.
