Looking for recommendations for an upright hoover preferably under £150 max budget £200. Must have a warranty/guarantee.
Currently have a goblin but it's spitting things out. Have tried to clean it out as much as possible but no avail.
Will mainly be used on carpet. Reviews seem quite mixed for what I've looked at.

You'll get a lot more for your money with bagged cleaners and they will likely be more reliable.0

I've always been happy with Vax. Did once have a Dyson but didn't rate it & it was quite heavy & my last 2 vacuums have been Vax & they've coped with pet hair from my cat with no problems. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -

"Air Lift Steerable Advance Upright "
"Air Lift Steerable Pet Upright Vacuum "
"Air Stretch Pro Upright Vacuum "0 -
Had cylindrical orange Vaxes for 30 years, and no complaints. They usually last about ten years each.0

I'd seen a lot of positive comments about Shark, so took the plunge and bought one when it was on offer recently. The model is currently at £179.99 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Shark-Upright-NV681UKT-Lift-Away-Powerful/dp/B00HBZ4N1E0

We purchased the shark in the link, it was 199 when we purchased about 6 weeks ago, happy so far, if anything maybe too powerful. It benefits from a 5yr guarantee.0 -
I’ve got a Shark lift away. Don’t have pets so not the one highlighted. I’ve had it about a year and am very satisfied with it up to now.
I had a Panasonic upright which lasted about 15 years. Replaced it with another Panasonic which was rubbish. Replaced that with a Henry which I found far too heavy and cumbersome. Gave it away! Then got an actual Hoover upriright which was ok for a couple of years but then stopped picking up.
I’ve avoided Dyson as my daughter seems to go through one of those every couple of years.
So far so good with the Shark but time will tell!0 -
Just bought a Vax air. Two things I think are great.
You don't need to unravel all the cable to use it.
The dust hopper, motor and cable lift off the wheels and handle so its easy to take this section off and use it on stairs or in the car.0 -
