Athena

Ok, I'm sure this has been posted before but would like to confirm stuff.
A friend of mine stayed at Lidl for 2 hours 28 minutes when the limit is 2 hours.
She then receives a parking charge notice for £90 unless paid within 14 days, which would make it £45. The car is on camera. She shopped in there, but was cash and no receipt.
Does she pay/challenge or ignore?

Cheers

She challenges. How to do so is all in the stickies. She also complains to the manager in writing, (quoting the date, time, and amount of the transaction).
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

You are on a forum for fighting private parking charges so your friend will never be advised to pay ;)

Instead she is advised to read the newbies thread and follow the directions within.

    Your friend emails the MD

    Mr Christian Härtnagel Managing Director

    Email Dispute.Resolution@lidl.co.uk

Proof of purchase will be required requesting he cancels as you are a valid customer.
You shop at Lidl (which should not have a limit on time) for customers and a £90 charge on top of your shopping bill would make them the most expensive supermarket in the UK

I just don't understand why people say that of course there was a receipt, why do people throw things away so readily!

I would never pay a scammer, though how on earth someone can spend 2hours 28 minutes in Lidl heaven knows.

Not sure why people ask this, given there is a sticky thread all about how to kill these.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
