Would Apprentice pay extra Tax on more income?

Hi all,
I have a 19 year old friend who is an apprentice. He earns approx £6.25 per hour and works Mon-Thurs (full 40 hours). He wants to work elsewhere on a Friday to boost his income but is concerned that he will pay an increased rate of Tax.
Is this true, please?

From your information his apprentice pay uses all his personal allowance so he will pay 20% on all the second job income.0

He will not pay an increased rate of tax. He will pay the standard rate once his income exceeds the tax free allowance for the year.0

No, he will pay the same "rate" of 20% tax. However, if you looked simply as a tax as a % of top line wage then it may appear that the second job is taxed higher as his tax-free personal allowance band will be assigned to his main job.(Although I could be wrong, I often am.)0
