Hi

Was wondering if anyone has uploaded any identification documents online to AJ Bell/YouInvest when opening a new account.

I've opened a SIPP, and apparently they cannot verify some of my details (first time ever), and have said...

You can send us your documents easily by visiting our website at https://www.youinvest.co.uk. Log in using the username you chose in your application and follow the instructions to upload a scan or photo of your documents.

I cannot see where, in my account, I can upload said documents. Anyone any ideas?

EDIT: I'll do a chat with AJ Bell in the morning, was just wondering if anyone had undertaken this online?

I recently opened a LISA with them and had the same thing. I used the chat and they asked me to send copies of my documents to them via email to administration@youinvest.co.uk - sent them scans of my passport and driving licence and my account was open within an hour or so.

I am less than keen to send some of the docs via email so, was trying to avoid that.

Ok, so an update for anyone who may stumble upon this thread in the future.

Chatted with AJ Bell and it appears that usually when you log in under these circumstances (identification documents required) the system will direct you to upload said documents as part of the login process.

In my case it appears that as I replied to the New Business department (using the received email), they must have satisfied themselves that documentation was not required and have removed the requirement for me to upload the documents and my login goes straight in to my account. So, there is not upload function within the account pages anywhere, simply an added process on login where required.

I'm sure when I come to remove the money they won't come back and say..."but, we've never confirmed your identify"
