Advice on estate agent question
Comments
-
Many moons ago an agent tried to charge me for switching to a rolling tenancy. I ignored them and they sent a menacing letter threatening legal action. When I asked them to show me what clause of the contract committed me to paying that fee, they sent another letter saying they waived it as a gesture of good will. They never acknowledged it was never due in the first place.0

There has been new legislation come into force since the 1st June where by there is a tenant fee ban introduced which at present affects new tenants only but after May 31st 2020 will apply to all tenants.
all irrelevant to you.
Due to this and having spoken to your Landlord, I will send you out a rolling monthly renewal agreement for you both to sign and will not apply the charge as a gesture of good will as both yourselves and your landlord are happy with the property/situation.
Pointless. Ignore. Do not sign OR respond.
